# What if I Need to Create a New Project Under an Existing Parent Number?

## You're able to request a specific project number during the Deal start-up process.

All new projects will automatically start out as a .00. Any additional projects under the parent number can be requested during the Deal Start-up process. In the **Requested Project Number** field, enter the parent number of the existing project followed by the next sequential number (.01, .02, .03 ...).

Please note we are **NO** longer doing .30,.40, .60, etc.  project numbering. The project number should **ALWAYS** be the next sequential number.
